THE BRIDGE PROJECT

The Bridge Project is a short film that works to bring awareness to LGBTQI+ acceptance and equality through the eyes and experiences of young people.

Project Synthesis co-produced this important film with the students at Billanook College in Victoria through a co-design process that explored young people’s perspectives, experiences and ideas around diversity, inclusion and LGBTQI+ rights. This student-led project saw students engage in respectful and safe discussion around important and sensitive topics, allowed them to make critical production choices in the writing and editing stages that shaped the film direction, and enabled them to develop skills in exercising their agency and engaging in advocacy.

This project was developed in partnership with Billanook College (Victoria) with support from the Youth Affairs Council Victoria’s HEY Grants program.
