HOMING DUCKS

Combining lessons about connection, place and people all through play.

Project Synthesis developed this learning initiative in support of educational City Experience programs. Students were assisted to visit the city and engage in a playful journey of homing a rubber duck that they had named and created an identity for through story. Left in CBD locations across Melbourne, these ducks were left with notes as they awaited to be found by the curious and unsuspecting public. Using the rubber duck as a tool for connection, those members of the public were then encouraged to further contribute to the journey by sharing their adventures with the duck and uploading images and details to an associated website.
